NAHT(NI) has produced a position paper on the use of restrictive practices in schools which has been issued to the Department of Education and the Education Authority today (24 June). The paper includes a set of action points alongside our call for urgent legislative reform and training for schools concerning the use of strategies for intervention if a pupil is at risk of hurting themselves or someone else.
