Industrial action FAQs

On occasion, head teachers and school leaders will need to manage the effects and impact of  industrial action.  Whilst head teachers may be sympathetic to such action, they may, at the same time, face the prospect of closing the school and  disrupting the daily arrangements of parents and pupils.

The NAHT's Industrial Action 20 FAQs will help guide you through such situations, help you to preserve good working relationships with staff  and with parents  and avoid frustrating the strike action and  subsequent challenges.

It is generic advice but typically covers the wide variety of areas with which you will need to be familiar and take appropriate action.
