Place2Be launches free online mental health training

Children's mental health charity Place2Be has launched a free online mental health training course for teachers.

The Mental Health Champions - Foundation programme enhances professionals' understanding of children's mental health and introduces approaches that foster positive well-being in schools and communities. It is being made available for free to 50,000 UK teachers and school-based staff.

The training programme involves:

  • a 5-week programme (c.1–1.5 hours per week).
  • a dedicated Place2Be professional to join discussions and aid online learning.
  • online training accessible via any device at a time to suit you.
  • regular start dates to choose from.

To qualify for the free place, school staff need to have UK QTS, be an NQT or have a permanent role in-school. You can find out more and book a place on the course at www.place2be.org.uk/foundation.
