Commenting on the Prime Minister's response during PMQs today that a full return to school for all children on the 8th March is not guaranteed but will only happen "if we possibly can", Nick Brook, deputy general secretary of school leaders’ union NAHT, said:
“The Prime Minister is right to be cautious. It is important that we continue to be guided by the science rather than getting stuck on one particular arbitrary date. We all want to see all children back in school as soon as it is safe, but that return has to be sustainable, with a proper plan to minimise continued disruption to children’s education going forward.”
