Return to school broadcast with Paul Whiteman, Ruth Davies and Sir Jeremy Farrar

broadcast.jpg

We held our first online broadcast for the 2020-21 academic year on 3 September 2020, with NAHT general secretary Paul Whiteman and NAHT president Ruth Davies.

They were joined by Sir Jeremy Farrar, director of the Wellcome Trust, member of the government's SAGE committee and an expert on infectious disease.

Jeremy has been involved with a recent study that tested children and teachers in primary schools across the UK during the wider opening of schools in June and July. He discussed the findings of this study, some of the science behind covid transmission rates in schools and answered questions to help members with the decisions they will need to make this term.
